Micellar Cleansing Water is the key to the simple and effective French beauty routine first made popular two decades ago. This gentle cleansing method was developed for Parisian women to compensate for the area's reportedly harsh water. Tiny micelles of oil in water is the key.
This simple, effective cleaning method leaves your skin feeling fresh and clean.
Micellar water is a combination of water elements and mid chain fatty acids (oils) along a little glycerin, witch hazel, lecithin and a touch of alcohol that creates micelles, small ball shaped molecules that are lipophilic. Lipophilic means the ability to attract oil. These lipophilic balls attach to excess oils on the skin, along with dirt and makeup, and lift them away.
Dampen a cotton pad with micellar cleansing water and then gently wipe it over your face and neck. The combination of water and oil effectively removes dirt and makeup without leaving any residue. And, because its not a soap, you don't need to rinse it off.
Aqua [Deionized Water], Hamamelis Virginiana [Witch Hazel] Water (and) Alcohol, Glycerin, Gluconolactone (and) Sodium Benzoate, Capric/Caprylic Triglycerides [MCT Oil], Lecithin, Decyl Glucoside, Essential oils
